We Couldn’t Agree More

We, too, are big fans of great snacks, and we’re big fans of Molly Yeh. If by chance you’re not yet familiar, Molly Yeh is an Emmy Award– and James Beard Foundation Award–nominated chef and the beloved host of Food Network’s Girl Meets Farm. She’s also a New York Times–bestselling cookbook author; Molly has penned Sweet Farm!, Home Is Where the Eggs Are, and Molly on the Range.
Molly has a long history with us. Her first visit to Zingerman’s was decades ago with her friend Rob, and she still remembers the Bakehouse brownie she ate that day. That’s far from her only favorite found on our shelves, though; she’s picked out a whole collection of items, many of which are ready to eat immediately. It’s a lineup that reflects her love of nostalgic, seriously snackable foods. Molly says, “I’m so excited for you to try these items, not just because you’re about to experience major deliciousness, but also because you’re about to create some darn good memories with whoever you share them with.”
A Few of Molly’s Favorite Things at the Deli

Hebel & Co. Peanut Butter Chocolate Crisp Halva – Molly Yeh’s creation features the classic nutty flavor of halva supercharged with peanut butter, dark chocolate, and puffed quinoa for an extra crunch.
Sprinkles! – Molly Yeh partnered with Burlap & Barrel to create sprinkles that taste as good as they look. The Rose Sprinkles are made with Damask rose petals for a delicate floral flavor that’s fragrant, not perfumy. The trio of spices in the Cinnamon, Cardamom & Ginger Sprinkles blend for a warm, gently spicy flavor.
Knish – We make our version of this classic Jewish savory pastry in two flavors and stock them in the freezer so you can always have some on hand. Choose from a six-pack of pastrami knish, stuffed with Zingerman’s pastrami and potatoes, or potato knish, stuffed with herbed mashed potatoes and onions (the latter is also available individually).
Buenos Aires Brownie from Zingerman’s Bakehouse – A rich, no-nut chocolate brownie with a layer of luscious dulce de leche in the middle, this is included in our Brownie Party, a four-pack of four different flavors of Bakehouse brownies.
Zzang!Ⓡ handmade bar from Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory – A classic candy bar with roasted peanuts, honey nougat, and caramel bathed in single-origin dark chocolate.
Rancho Meladuco Medjool Dates – Grown and sun-ripened in California, these dates are soft and candy-like, tasting of brown sugar and caramel.
Dried Irwin mango from Taiwan – Thick slices of Irwin mango, the most popular variety of mango in Taiwan. The fruit is plump and soft, and there are no added sugars or preservatives.
Kolsvart Sour Blueberry Swedish Fish – These deliciously tart blueberry fish are vegan and gluten-free, with just the right amount of chew and sweetness.
Koeze Cream-Nut Peanut Butter – Made in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for 100 years, this peanut butter’s only two ingredients are still just blanched and toasted Virginia peanuts plus a light touch of sea salt. Its rustic texture (available in smooth or crunchy) and full, true peanut flavor will keep you coming back for more.

Colonna Organic Olives – Whole Italian Termite di Bitetto olives (the only kind of olives that are quite sweet even eaten straight off the tree) preserved in brine. Choose from green or black olives.
Flouwer Co. Crackers – Crispy, thin, salted, and loaded with edible flowers and herbs, these crackers are the perfect companion to any cheese board!
Chocolate Chunk Sourdough from Zingerman’s Bakehouse – This naturally leavened sourdough bread is studded with dark chocolate chunks. Perfect for breakfast, snack time, dessert, or a wildly unique sandwich.
Sweet Farm!: More Than 100 Cookies, Cakes, Salads (!), and Other Delights from My Kitchen on a Sugar Beet Farm – Molly speaks fluent sugar, so recipes for sweets come naturally to her—as does her drive to perfect them in flavor, texture, and ease of making. The recipes in her latest cookbook include a mix of from-scratch versions of nostalgic sweets and new concoctions with flavors drawn from her Asian and Jewish backgrounds, as well as beloved Midwestern traditions she’s adopted from her husband’s family and the local community.
For folks who are further flung, don’t fret! Molly has you covered with our partner business Zingerman’s Mail Order. They’ve tucked a number of her favorites into a limited-edition box with free relaxed shipping nationwide. And as Molly says, “There is absolutely nothing (nothing!) better than dragging in a snow-covered box from the front stoop, sitting on the floor around it with my kids, and revealing tasty new treasures.” That sounds pretty great, right?!
Molly’s Custom Sandwich
Available only at the Deli, and only during the month of December, this sandwich is built around Molly’s love of our Moroccan Carrot Spread. Made with roasted carrots and sweet potatoes, housemade harissa, olives, and herbs, this spread will knock your taste buds’ socks off. (We’re sharing the recipe in our forthcoming cookbook!)
Like knowing what foods other folks are into? Molly is the latest to participate in our Zingerman’s Tastemaker Series. Launched last summer, this series spotlights influential culinary voices through highly personal product collections that reflect how they cook, eat, and gather.
