Friendseder™ Brunch (Virtual Choose Your Own Adventure)

• If you live out of our area or you are unavailable on March 19th, we invite you to this digital experience that includes a box stuffed full of all the things you’ll need for a great brunch plus a digital guide featuring Rabbi Jeff of The Well and Tessie of Zingerman’s Deli to guide you through the elements of the brunch bundle.

Friendseder is to Passover what Friendsgiving is to Thanksgiving. If you’re reading this, you’re a friend of the Deli’s, so whether or not you celebrate Passover, we’d love to have you join us for this digital Friendseder™ Brunch experience!

At a Friendsgiving, you might expect to see twists on classic Thanksgiving dishes, and Friendseder is no different (except with classic Jewish dishes, of course). Friendseder is celebrated before the start of Passover, so together we’ll enjoy a 4-course brunch that’s inspired by the Seder plate without needing to follow Passover dietary rules. The menu includes dishes like Yemenite Charoset Parfait, Hungarian Spiced Egg Salad, and Brisket Roulade with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce (vegetarian options available upon request). 

This is our second annual Friendseder, and we’re very excited to once again be partnering with The Well to bring their initiative to our Ann Arbor community. Your hosts the digital accompaniment to the brunch bundle will be Zingerman’s Event Coordinator Tessie Ives-Wilson, The Well’s Executive Director Rabbi Jeff Stombaugh. On your own time (not on a scheduled Zoom session), they will lead you on a guided tour of this special menu–the tastes, products, ingredients, meaning, ritual, and traditions.

The Well is a Detroit area non-profit with a mission to create and foster an accessible, inclusive, and relationship-driven community. They use Jewish wisdom and rituals to help foster community, but you don’t have to be Jewish to join the community! Friendseder welcomes everyone to the table to learn about Passover rituals and traditions, but also encourages you to make the holiday your own!
