A Unique Way to Make Your Event One to Remember
Our event venue, the Greyline, is a beautifully appointed space in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. It has a balanced blend of old and new, from the original historic facade and neon Ann Arbor Bus Depot to modern amenities and infrastructure ready to be tailored to your event. We love helping guests’ visions come to life with customized decor, desserts, and more. One of our favorite ways to make your event extra-special is with a custom cocktail, created exclusively for you.
A custom cocktail (or mocktail!) is a unique way to add a special touch to an event, whether it’s a wedding, work event, birthday, or bar or bat mitzvah. Having a customized beverage can help tell a story, ultimately making your event unforgettable. We can personalize your beverage based on an important location, favorite ingredients, or simply a significant color. One custom cocktail we created for a wedding was based on the bride’s beekeeping business!
A Custom Cocktail That Was a Smashing Success
At our second-ever wedding hosted at Greyline, the couple actually started planning their wedding before the space was completed. They booked with us based on professional renderings we’d made, but they didn’t actually lay their eyes on the space until the day of their wedding! That level of trust in us extended to collaborating on crafting a custom cocktail for them, too. Luckily, they loved the venue and the custom cocktail, and it was an incredibly memorable event (for us, too!).
As a beekeeper, the bride had her own apiary, and the bee theme was repeated throughout the details of their wedding. The wedding cake was adorned with handmade wooden bees, the couple gave her honey away as favors to their guests, and we used her honey in their custom cocktail, the Watercolor Smash.
If desired, your custom cocktail can be yours exclusively—a signature recipe to share with a select few or pass down through the generations. In this case, the couple was happy to reveal their recipe, so you, too, can enjoy a Watercolor Smash anytime you like.
