Tinned fish is everywhere: on the covers of Bon Appetit and Food & Wine, on the Instagram stories of your favorite celebrity, and certainly overflowing our shelves here at the Deli. Maybe you’re already hip to the little illustrated boxes and cans at Zingerman’s, but not sure what to do beyond eating your morsels on toast? Two of our most affable mongers are here to help! Zingerman’s Deli fish buyer, Kevin Bowker, is joined by his partner in maritime crime, Connor Valone, for a briny nosh that you’ll think is a ten out of tin! Join us at the Deli for a light Friday night meal composed around some of their favorite selections from our collection over over 50 kinds of tinned fish. Your tasting experience comes with a series of small plates and amuse bouche, plus an hour of jovial discussion and conversation with Kevin and Connor with an opportunity for a private, personal shopping experience with them in the Deli after the event, during which you can take 20% your whole specialty foods purchase.
Please note: This event includes dairy and gluten. Can be made gluten-free on request.
