A RECIPE FROM teapigs
As much as teapigs loves a good cuppa, they are more than aware that sometimes you just need something a little bit stronger, like tea and whiskey! They have shared one of their favorite (or rather, “favourite”) tea-based cocktail recipes with us…because let’s face it, the only thing that can elevate tea to even greater heights, is the addition of our good pal, booze. Whether you’re tucked up on the sofa with a movie or throwing a holiday bash, this teapigs tea toddy will become your new best winter companion in no time.
First make the tea concentrate: infuse four chocolate and mint tea sachets in 1 cup boiling water for 10-15 mins (the longer the better).
- Over ice, pour: 1 oz. whiskey, 1 oz. tea concentrate, 1 oz. whipping cream and 1.5 TBSP maple syrup
- Mix together and decant into 4 shot glasses (or enjoy as 1 long drink!)
- Add chocolate shavings for decoration
- Pop the rest of your concentrate in the fridge and save for next time (…or make another round of shots)
Makes 4 shots.
