Mike’s Vaya con Nova, June’s Sandwich of the Month

Mike combined the rich, flavor of cold-smoked salmon and the briny, lemony flavor of caesar salad into one absolutely gnarly sandwich! Ride the perfect wave of flavors! The smoked salmon on this month’s sandwich is from Detroit’s Ma Cohen’s, owned by Peter Wojcik and Anna Hiddema. Founded as Sea Fare Foods in 1959, this family-owned seafood company is a regional staple. We are excited by the quality and taste of this salmon–it’s smoky, yet has a mild flavor that really allows the quality of the salmon to come through. You can truly taste the freshness in each bite.
Mike’s Vaya con Nova is available every day in June: cold- smoked salmon, crisp romaine tossed in housemade caesar dressing, sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, and shredded parm on grilled Rustic Italian bread from Zingerman’s Bakehouse.
