Zingerman’s Roadhouse Pop-Up at Greyline

Our partner business Zingerman’s Roadhouse is getting a glam up this winter and the restaurant will be closed through mid-February (stay tuned for that same friendly charm with upgrades to the Roadhouse flooring, lighting, acoustics, bar, and seating!). While under construction, we’re super excited to be hosting them at Zingerman’s Greyline with a special menu for brunch and dinner a couple times a week!

The Special Roadhouse at Greyline menu includes entrées like Breakfast Buddha Bowls, Crawfish Étouffée, Dry-Aged Ribeye with Creole Butter, plus classics like Buttermilk Biscuits and Butterscotch Pudding. Reservations are available for Sunday Brunch, 10am to 2pm, and Sunday and Monday Dinner from 5pm to 9pm.

The Roadhouse became the seventh member of Zingerman’s Community of Businesses in 2003, with the vision of bringing really good American food to the community using only the best available ingredients to make traditional, full-flavored dishes. Even after years of studying American foodways, the Roadhouse is only beginning to fully understand and appreciate our country’s regional food microcultures and subcultures, and the professionals who preserve them.

While the Roadhouse keeps its focus on traditional American foods of the South, they also love to explore. Their respect and admiration for African American foodways, for example, have inspired their Potlikker Stew, made with local collard greens, heirloom grits from Anson Mills’ in South Carolina, and fresh fish flown in from Foley Fish or Shoreline Wild Salmon. The green chiles brought in from New Mexico add a Southwestern flair for anyone who likes to spice things up! Whether it’s featured as a vegetarian option or in one of their specials, the Roadhouse loves the hand-harvested Really Wild Wild Rice from the Ojibwe tribe in Minnesota (the very same wild rice we sell at the Deli).

With chef Bob Bennett at the helm of the kitchen, and the staff’s dedication to service, the Roadhouse draws in regulars from all over, whether they’re coming from right down the block or they are popping in during their annual visit to Ann Arbor.

We hope you’ll check out this very special Roadhouse at Greyline menu and make a reservation for brunch or dinner soon!
