The sLaw and Order sandwich was created by Jacob Muller, a 2020 grad of Michigan Law, on behalf of PHID House, or Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society that was founded at the University of Michigan Law School in 1869. Jacob and his classmates are finally able to celebrate their accomplishments in person at the Comeback Commencement Ceremony on May 7th. PHID House received the honor of creating this sandwich by being the highest bidder at the 2020 Michigan Law Student-Funded Fellowship Auction. A Michigan law tradition dating back to 1977, student-funded fellowships are a student-run program that guarantees summer funding to all first-year law students focused on careers in public service. These fellowships are funded by donations and an annual auction, which regularly includes a donation from us, Zingerman’s Deli, to create a Sandwich of the Month. We thank PHID House for their support of their classmates pursuing careers in public interest law, and for this delicious sandwich creation – BBQ chicken, swiss cheese, housemade coleslaw, hot horseradish mustard, on grilled Farm bread.
