Enjoy a full jazz concert at the Blue LLama featuring fantastic African-American jazz artists while James Beard Award-winning Chef JJ Johnson and our very own Event Coordinator and Certified Cheese Professional Tessie Ives-Wilson present a four course dinner. The meal will include four courses\, each based in the Afro-Latino and American Southern diaspora\, featuring some of our favorite ingredients. Between songs\, we’ll hear from Chef JJ and Tessie and learn more about every dish\, the full-flavored and traditionally made ingredients\, and its place in the long history of Black American cuisine in the United States. \nEvery guest walks away with a 20% off coupon for Zingerman’s Deli and a $25-off gift certificate for the Blue LLama for their next visit\, as well as an opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of Chef JJ’s cookbook\, The Simple Art of Rice. \nThis event is being hosted by Blue LLama. DESCRIPTION:This event will take place IN PERSON at Zingerman’s Greyline!\nWhen the temperatures drop and we find ourselves stuck indoors\, we often find ourselves with with molten cheese on our minds. If you’re anything like us\, you’re in luck! We’re calling all melty cheese lovers to unite with us at Zingerman’s Greyline for a Sunday dinner of traditional fondue perfect for one or two or your whole group of friends! You will get an educational introduction to traditional Swiss fondue and a taste of the rare and unique alpage (high mountain) cheeses we import for the season through the Adopt an Alp program. You will get to nibble on the cheeses as we talk and demonstrate the fondue technique.  Big pots of traditional Swiss fondue will roll out to your table immediately following the demo\, and you’ll get to enjoy it with the traditional accoutrements like cured meats\, fresh Zingerman’s Bakehouse bread\, and roasted and pickled vegetables. Sit back and relax\, enjoy the spread\, socialize and purchase beverages from our cash bar. And if you are inspired to take home cheese to make your own pot of fondue following the event\, our cheesemongers will be available with ingredients for purchase (and at a 20% off discount!) \nPlease note: This menu cannot be made dairy-free\, other allergens can be accommodated. The Greyline event space is not a full restaurant kitchen\, meaning dietary requirements must be submitted upon registration in order to be accommodated.
