DESCRIPTION:This event will take place IN PERSON at Zingerman’s Delicatessen!\nJoin us for a special morning of coffee tasting and learning with Zingerman’s Coffee Company Managing Partner\, Steve Mangigian. One of our longest-running partnerships in coffee is with Daterra Estate in Brazil! Steve Mangigian just returned from Brazil on a producer visit to talk about their growing process\, their commitment to sustainability and enjoy some coffee. \nDaterra Estate is owned by the Pasqual family\, successful auto parts and tire distributors turned coffee farmers as a way to give back to the country that gave them so much. Today\, Daterra is the 3rd largest farm in Brazil and Zingerman’s Coffee Company is proud to partner with them to cultivate the Pacamara varietal of coffee and bring it to Brazil and to Ann Arbor!  Zingerman’s Coffee Company committed to Daterra a 3-acre plot is on a high\, flat plane in the Cerrado region of Brazil near the city of Patrocínio. It is amongst the best coffee producing areas in the country. Steve and others from Zingerman’s have been going down at least once a year to check on the status of the program and the vision is that this project will continue for the next 20 years or more! \nWe look forward to learning more about Daterra Estate and to taste a variety of the coffee coming from this estate. \nPlease note: This event includes caffeine\, gluten\, nuts\, and dairy. Can be made gluten free\, nut free\, and dairy free on request.
