DESCRIPTION:This event will take place IN PERSON at Zingerman’s Delicatessen!\nEver wanted to learn to make fresh mozzarella and burrata like our Deli kitchen and Zingerman’s cheesemongers?  This class is a hands-on and demonstration-based learning opportunity to practice basic and advanced mozzarella making techniques. You will learn from one of our Certified Cheese Professionals\, Tessie Ives-Wilson and Deli Events Assistant\, Connor Valone.  You will learn to make both mozzarella and burrata … and best yet\, you will get to take the fruits of your labor home to savor.  Come by yourself or bring a friend. We’re excited to introduce you to the Michigan Cheese and Dairy Guild\, a diverse group of cheese makers\, farmers\, retailers\, restaurateurs\, foodies\, and enthusiasts with a mission to promote the prosperity of the Michigan food and tourism industry\, with a special focus on supporting the local artisan cheese and dairy economy.  \nWe love talking to you about cheese from our cheese counter and special events and we’re thrilled to invite you to join us at this happy hour to meet the founding members of the Guild\, sample some of their finest creations\, and sip on some delicious wine pairings carefully selected for each cheese.  \nYou’ll get to enjoy our Zingerman’s Deli take on a favorite Detroit’s Monger Provisions grilled cheese offering: Leelanau Raclette\, Zingerman’s Deli Sea Salt Chips\, Cornichon\, and Zingerman’s Bakehouse Farm Bread. Try one of Zingerman’s Catering’s most beloved apps with a new twist – bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Zingerman’s Creamery cheese. In addition to the wine pairings that come with your ticket\, there will also be a cash bar for additional drinks! DESCRIPTION:This class will take place IN PERSON at Zingerman’s Deli!\nCheese boards are perfect for all celebrations – whether it’s a holiday or everyday! But they can also be overwhelming to put together at the cheese counter with all the options! Join one of our resident cheese experts\, Tessie Ives-Wilson\, for a class all about the art of a cheese board. We’ll break down our tips for a well-rounded board\, how to choose accompaniments\, how to lay out the board so it looks as delightful as it tastes\, and then you get to take that knowledge and put it to use right there in class! We’ll give you all the cheese\, accompaniments\, and hands-on help to build a cheeseboard that is the perfect size for you and 4-5 of your friends that you get to take with you at the end of class. Because everything is more fun with a friend – this class may be for one or two participants\, who will create one cheese board. Boards that you make in class will last up to a week in the fridge\, perfect for serving as an appetizer before your Easter feast! \nPlease note: This event includes dairy (including raw milk products)\, nuts\, and gluten.
