Your tasting will be guided by an expert from Zingerman’s Deli \nKCH will pair your tasty delights with the passionate\, fiery sounds of flamenco\, played by a trio led by guitarist Sean Blackman and featuring flamenco artist Lisa Montes. A Detroit world-music powerhouse with multiple Detroit Music Awards to his name\, Blackman brings his deep\, well-traveled command of world music together with two additional musicians to be named soon\, while Montes — trained since childhood in the classical\, regional\, and flamenco dance traditions of Spain — brings the art form to vivid\, commanding life through dance and cante. \nWe hope you will join us for this special collaboration and celebrate two Ann Arbor Kerrytown institutions coming together to transport you to Spain for a night of culture\, cuisine\, and captivating music! \nTickets will include one complimentary drink voucher (additional drinks will be available for purchase). Your tasting will be guided by an expert from Zingerman’s Deli. \nKCH will pair your tasty delights with the spirited sounds of Klezmephonic\, Ann Arbor’s premier klezmer band\, taking audiences on a journey through the rich musical landscapes of Eastern Europe\, blending klezmer\, Balkan\, and Roma traditions. Featuring Jennifer Goltz on vocals\, Henrik Karapetyan on violin\, Eric Schweizer on clarinet\, Mike List on percussion\, and Dave Sharp on bass\, the ensemble brings spirited freylakhs\, soulful khosidls\, and evocative Yiddish melodies to life—sharing captivating stories between tunes that illuminate the fascinating history of Klezmer music.
