A Peek Inside the Deli Kitchen: Cooking with Scraps

June 1st, 2021 marks the 1-year anniversary of the City of Ann Arbor’s plan to achieve a just transition to community-wide carbon neutrality, known as A²ZERO. One of the ways we’re participating in their week-long celebration of events is by hosting this virtual cooking demo!  Join us for a Peek Inside the Deli Kitchen where we’ll be joined by Lindsay-Jean Hard, author of “Cooking with Scraps“!  Lindsay-Jean will be talking with Deli Events Coordinator Tessie Ives-Wilson about some of the recipes from our Deli kitchen that minimize or make use of  “scraps” and delicious ways minimize the amount of waste you produce by incorporating scraps in your own home kitchen.  They will also demonstrate how to make a batch of Fromage Fort from some of the scraps that we’ve been collecting at our cheese counter this week!
