June at the Deli: Know where your food comes!

We’ve been working with some of the folks that make the food we sell since the very beginning (like the 80’s!). They’re amazing at what they do, and the result is the full flavored and traditional foods that have become our favorites over the years. With the food industry dominated by mass produced foods, it’s important to know where your food comes from. We like to work with small producers that make things through tradition and heritage. Slow food, not fast food. This month, we have a very special guest joining us June 24th for a Meet the Olive Oil Maker tasting. Marina Colonna is one of those producers we’ve known for decades. She is the producer for our Zingerman’s Peranzana Olive Oil. She is coming to visit the Deli for the first time ever from Molise, Italy.  We really hope you can join us in welcoming her!
