Sandwich of the Month! Rocco's Revenge
This is the story of Deborah Cumming (an '08 Raucous Caucus winner) and her fun loving, gourmand Uncle Rocco. Deborah and her siblings grew up in a health-nut household, but whenever her Uncle Rocco came over to baby-sit they broke all the rules. As soon as their mom left the house, Rocco dashed to the kitchen and whipped up amazing sandwiches for the kids. By the time mom got home, not a crumb was left and everyone's lips were happily sealed. With Deborah's help, we've re-created one of Rocco's forbidden sandwiches here. Arkansas peppered ham, pepper bacon, provolone cheese, and pommery mustard on grilled rustic Italian bread. Don't worry: We won't tell your mom.
