There are a lot of dark chocolate bars out there hovering in the magical 70% range and they all taste different. Some taste mild and sweet, others taste bitter and tanic. Some are fruity, some are roasty-toasty. Come and taste for yourself! We'll be blind tasting several different dark chocolate bars from around the world, illustrating how — in the grand scheme of things — percent is just a tiny piece of the flavor puzzle.

Zingerman's Deli is proud to host a discussion presented by Roger Sutherland from SEMBA (southeast mich beekeepers association). Roger will present a slide show and discussion designed to give a close-up look at the highly organized honey bee colony. Some attention will be given to the practice and history of beekeeping. The important flower and honey bee relationships, pollination, swarming, and bee communication are also included.

Zingerman's will provide a selection of several single varietal honeys and provide you with several of our favorite foods made with honey for you to taste in conjunction with the discussion.

All of the proceeds from this event are going to support Slow Food Huron Valley.
